Licensed in Washington/Oregon.
I work with adults and young adults navigating ADHD, substance use, anxiety, and depression. No one approach works for every person in every situation. When we meet we work to identify areas of struggle but also areas of strength. We work to systematically address these areas to work towards long term, sustainable change. We’re often working on building healthy internal and external structures. Working to improve what’s going on inside by becoming a better and more empathetic coach or parent to ourselves, while also pushing ourselves to grow and make effective long term external changes in our lives.
Depending on what you’re struggling with, therapy can be as brief as a few sessions to longer term work. Longer term work often involves carefully and intentionally increasing our understanding and insight into where the problems began, and then working on ways to heal and grow from these experiences.
There is inevitable pain and suffering we all will experience in our lives. But there are often areas of unnecessary pain and suffering that we can effectively address and reduce, if not outright omit. If you feel stuck, sick and tired of feeling sick and tired, please feel free to reach out and we can see if we would be a good fit to work together.
